Northern Ireland based technology start up Slever recently confirmed attendance at the annual Emergency Services Show at the NEC in Birmingham this September. The show, which has 450 exhibitors and 60 new companies this year attracts the UK Emergency Services including the UK Fire and Police Services.
Slever, who has been building ties with the UK Fire Brigade Services since 2017, aims its technology at the sector focusing on wireless technology to keep fire fighters safe in the field whilst entering dangerous areas. Based on a scenario where firefighters can report back via VOIP and camera views, each fire fighter is tracked from a central software interface that monitors their movements and location.
Different to I-Beacon and reliance on GPS, the technology is disruptive in its goal to use wireless mesh nodes and wearable sensors that essentially place firefighters in accurate tracking, free of risk of connectivity loss and monitored from software that can be uploaded from an everyday tablet.
The Slever Team will be on hand to meet interested parties and show case the work achieved on the Emergency Services Locate project so far.
